Drawing Installation Text
In a small room, brown earth is scattered over the floor and sculpted into a mountain range
— the mountains rise up towards the white gesso drawings on the walls.
The earth is rich - strong sense, warm aroma. It is a metaphor for mental darkness
- addictions, being influenced / dominated, religion, depression, the darkness of the North - the things
that take over us. The nature of influence, nature of self. The drawings are a
metaphor for the self - being a person.
This installation is the relation between the two - the battle for the freedom within the
drawing - of self - and the dark earth.
